Jacqueline Maria Longstaff

Jacqueline started her session on a melodious note by playing the recording of ‘Medicine Buddha’ to all the delegates. She then elucidated on what Gautam Buddha had to say about a ‘Bodhisattva’ (A Bodhisattva is anyone who is motivated by compassion and seeks enlightenment not only for him/herself but also for everyone. A ‘Bodhisattva’ is a person who awakens humanity to the ‘God’ within himself.). Buddha said that a person who thinks he is a ‘Bodhisattva’ is no ‘Bodhisattva’. Here is the key to understanding the cosmic drama – If one identifies with the role playing through oneself, one can never be enlightened!

Jacqueline then said that we are moving into times ruled by the sign ‘Aquarius’. This sun sign has a man pouring out water from a jug on his back. The symbolism is unique. This is symbolic of a man who is pouring out wisdom from all his lifetimes to where it is needed in a humanitarian and non-judgemental way. This sign is ruled by the planet Uranus – also known as The Awakener and the Systems Buster. Aquarius wants freedom for all and is often instrumental in freeing people from religion and strong belief systems. Jacqueline stressed the importance of making “compassionate waves” in society and to not lose sight of the fact that we are one. She asked us to consider the following:

“Whatever I am doing, was it worth Prometheus (the Greek God) stealing the sacred fire from the Gods?” She also asked us to consider:

“If I am not giving the world the best I have, what am I saving it for?”

Jacqueline stressed that learning correctly from an accomplished teacher is very important. She quoted Osho who has said, “Guru- Disciple game is the final game. Play it as beautifully as possible.” In this wave of Western ‘New Age’ teachings, Jacqueline wisely pointed out that India has to be careful to remember her own ‘Ancient Wisdom’ of the East and balance this with the best of the ‘New Age’ teachings from the West with. Nothing should not get ‘watered down’ or diluted.

According to Jacqueline, the IMPORTANCE of silence cannot be overstressed. Jesus said, “Be still and know that I AM”. When one is silent, one can observe that everything that arises also fades away. It is then easy to realize that one is not ‘what arises’. So the best of the East and the West has to be absorbed by everyone to rise in universal love collectively.

From October 28th, 2011 the world is going into a new energy wave for 260 days. We need ‘silence’ in meditation to anchor in our true nature and hold higher and higher energies. Right now, our planet is flooded with angelic energy. So living ‘rightly’ and ‘lightly’ is the need of the hour. Simple things like eating less sugar, drinking more water will help us absorb more and more light.

Before closing the session, Jacqueline explained that difficult ‘relationships’ can keep us stuck in the cosmic drama. So it is to our benefit to know how to balance the masculine and feminine energies. She briefly touched on the topic of ‘Tantra’ in relationships. Sex, love and meditation can all go together to build up ‘Tantric’ energies with deep connection between two partners. For that ‘commitment’ in this path is needed. Committed monogamy is just as powerful as committed celibacy. It is then that we can see our partners in their true nature – see the One God, the Beloved in the partner. Commitment to the right partner gives the chance to build up a powerful cosmic energy together. Her two day Post Conference workshop will deal extensively in this area of ‘Relationship as a Spiritual Pathway’.

Jaqueline closed her session with a well written, humorous spiritual ‘Rap’ song and she had the audience singing the chorus in no time. The standing ovation she received was evidence of how much people enjoyed the session. It was a treat to see people smiling and singing on their way out: ‘OK-Namaste- Blessings on your way – Namaste’!!
